Most of my chickens, including my 3 Ameraucana hens (I suspect that possibly 2 of them are EEs) are 27 weeks old and so far, ONLY my Buff Catalanas are laying.
Maybe they are forming a resistance! LOL Mine are not laying yet either..... I keep saying any day now...it's all I can do to keep DH from making BBQ Chicken!
Oh my gosh! you have no idea how long it took my EE hen to start laying?! (well maybe i am just inpatient..) and when she did lay her first egg iit was very tiny with no yolk and was white with specks.

I think we have the same girl, LOL. However, my DH found a light blue egg under a roost bar that my Ameraucanas who are currently laying never sit on-they lay in the nests every time, so either it's my EE, June, who is now 32 weeks, or one of the Ameraucanas, Nora or Snow. Guess I'll have to catch her at it to be sure.
My 3 standards are 23 weeks and the banty cochin is about 27. No eggs, no squatting, no wattles on the cochin or BR. Someone was checking out the nesting boxes about 2 weeks ago but since then, the boxes have been undisturbed.
I feel for you all! Sorry, I have to be bragging, but I had a 6-egg day! All six laying girls laid an egg today. Among them was Cap'n Silver's 2nd greenish egg. She laid her first egg yesterday. Her name is odd, I know, but at the time I named them all I thought she might be a boy. Despite her name, she is the lowest ranking member of the flock. So, Henrietta is the last to start laying and she is my other EE going on 27 weeks. She is one of my favs. She comes running when she sees me and that makes me feel warm and fuzzy...
