EE's EGGs - who, where, when, what (let's track who laid what and who hatched from what)

Yay! Monkey started laying!
Her first egg came July 26, putting her at about 18 weeks old.
Got her from the feed store (Privett Hatchery???). Typical dark brown chipmunk chick.

Eggs are still small, but a beautiful bluish-green.
Not as dark as they look here.

Too cute to eat!

All the green eggs are from Monkey!

I have 22 EE pullets that were hatched April 16th. I don't have any eggs yet but I have red faces and I have a guinea that hatched the same day laying. So

soon!

Yes, Monkey really delivered! I will be curious to see if they get more green as she matures. I've heard that the brown coating that goes on the egg can get a bit darker after they start to lay. I also have a wheaten Ameraucana and a wheaten/buff Ameraucana cross (EE) that are supposed to lay bright blue, but have a few more months to wait for eggs. Fun having the different colors!

My Easter Egger, Tawny Kitaen:

Tawny at 15 weeks

Bought her from Meyer Hatchery. Started laying at 20 weeks

Her first egg along with the others I collected that day. Her subsequent eggs have been slightly more olive green in color.

OMG! What a beautiful egg color! My chicken looked like yours and is about the same coloring....I know that really means nothing about what color egg she will have, but I sure would like one that color green! My girls are 21 1/2 weeks old and not eggs yet! (This photo is from a few weeks ago) I do have some that started squatting today!!! so it should be soon!

Thank you for this thread!!!! I think it is fascinating. Easter Eggers are such an amazing hybrid, so beautiful-- and as Forrest Gump's mother would say 'you never know what you'll get.'

I have one laying since February, she was born last September. I have two that are hatched in May, and I expect will begin to lay around Halloween. The EE I have (Bebe) has a laying record equal to my white leghorn hybrid (Ideal 236). She is a very entertaining bird. I'm hoping her chicks will lay as well as she does when the time comes.

Here's my EE:

Bebe's first egg next to white egg.

Thanks once again for this thread----brilliant idea. :O)
