when i would visit my family in the south, they always had to ask me to slow down so they could understand me. i speak quickly, and Mississipians are notably slow speakers.

we always got it worked out though!

my g-grandma thought it was near a sin to serve store bread instead of biscuits or cornbread.

well, ol'Fashion...you're always welcome and i'm sure my g-grandma would have had you too. little salt box house with two bedrooms, raised a bunch of kids and they farmed potatoes.

her other famous sentence said to me once, "Sometimes you just gotta have ice cream for suppah."

(the last time i got to visit her, there was a road being built so the power kept going out. so, we couldn't cook and ate the frozen ice cream before it melted for dinner.)

I need a few more to add to my 24 chicks...IN MY OFFICE!

But you know me...I want them all to grow up together so I don't have as many "rank" issues when they get older. Plus, my little man LOVES to handle and spoil them.

There's nothing like a bunch of pet chicks tripping you up on your way to the car!

But wait...that scenario seems familiar...except it was meat birds CHASING me to my car!
