EE's Hens or Roosters?

I agree with roo,pullet,pullet but... I gave one away at 8 wks b/c it looked like that and turned out to be a hen. One of my EE now developed early and laid early. So don't give up yet.

Well i think the first one could go either way.. his/her comb is skinnier but it is pretty red.. I would say keep em and see what happens. i am also pretty sure that the other 2 are pullets.

I finally got an answer to my question this morning at about 6:00am. Too bad because he's a really pretty bird. I really don't have the room to hang onto a rooster so he's going to be posted on Craigslist and advertised in the local newspaper. Darn!!! There was another poster on here with a very identical looking EE. I am willing to place a bet on that one now. LOL

I have a bunch of EE's and its been tough figuring out what is what. Sorry you have to rehome your roo. glad 2 out of three were keepers though!

I bought 8 "Ameraucana pullets" at the South 40 feed store in Oregon. So far 6 of the 8 have developed into roosters with some pretty good pipes on em'. Needless to say I am a little discouraged with the gal I bought them from. She insisted they were all females. I bought 5 more replacements from a different store. To be safer I chose 3 sexlink chicks and 2 more EEs.
If I had a bigger run I would keep this guy but.....
