EEs Pullets or Cockerels?

The comb color isn't necessarily the end-all be-all for gender id, and EEs can be especially tricky since they're mixed breeds. You can check for larger thicker legs, and look through the feathers to see if you can see any red coming in the wing bars. I like to hold out hope for as long as possible! Might just have to wait for those pointy saddle and hackle feathers to become obvious. Pullets still have saddle feathers, they're just rounded, not pointy. This link may offer more insight:

Guide to Improving Your Identification Skills

I've heard mixed breeds can be harder to tell. These are my first EEs so with nothing to compare too I'm challenged. I thought I'd be able to tell the 3 apart by comparing the "sisters" to the "brothers" (ie that one's comb is redder than the other therefore he's likely a cockerel etc) but this time it seems without that luxury I was stumped! I guess I need more practice... better get more chicks! Ha ha ha!

lol! more chicks, more practice and more pictures!
Well when the day comes that they finally start crowing or laying, will you please let us know their true genders? I'm very curious and we hardly ever get to find out if everyone's guesses were correct.
