I live close to the main thoroughfare in a small town. There is a significant amount of commercial traffic throughout the day and night. Does anyone have any idea if this will effect corturnix quail? I have gotten used to it. Would quail do the same?

More than likely. We can hear train horns and the fire station is 2 blocks away. No issues, they just do their thing.
I live less than 700 feet away from the railroad tracks. My road is actually called railroad avenue haha, and pretty close to a terrible sounding firestation, we do have a thick tree block but still, its rather loud here, my quail (inside) don't seem to care too much. Some of my chickens however raise the alarm every single time the train goes by 9 or 10 times a day (and night!)

I live next to a minor railroad. Trains come through twice a a day, horns blaring, so close it rattles the fence and the aviary. I worried about the noise, too, but the quail don't even look up from what they're doing. They've heard it since before they hatched.

We had a radio on in our summer kitchen (where we keep the birds as babies). We thought since they grew up with the radio, it might be mean to take it away when we put them out in their moveable run/coop setup. We also liked the radio being a predator deterrent so they now have their own radio. They seem to like hip hop & country music (some do the happy butt wiggle hop to certain songs), not so much talk radio though.
Granted, I'm not fluent in quail or I'd ask mine to confirm for you. But I think yours will just be happy to have a nice home, no matter where or the noise.

Yeah I agree I don’t think they will care and if they do at first they will soon get over it.

I have peepers in the house - they are listening to imagine dragons

They don’t even mind the vacuum much at all. Just go about their thing...

How funny! Mine do get happy when I play avenged sevenfold or breaking benjamin! (Hard rock.) As long as it isn't too loud they start singing and chirping along with whatever music I play. Or maybe they are protesting haha, they do sing and chirp more when it's calmer music, especially classical.

I had a duck named Little Jerry once. And my screen name “cosmosue” yeah I admit that’s because of Kramer... I guess I had/have a Seinfeld obsession at least at one point...

I saw Breaking B a couple years ago with Korn. Excellent show. I love all kinds of music lol from Korn to The Beatles and Imagine dragons and my husbands LEAST favorite - I am a closet Fall Out Boy fan and you DID NOT hear me say that shhhhhhh
