Effect of giving away my roo

After all the cockerels I've rehomed this year I haven't had any of my remaining birds give much fuss. My month olds hid for the afternoon after the commotion of catching a few of the boyos, but after that it's been business as usual, and even some relief once the trouble makers went to go be 4H pets.

Just went through exact same thing yesterday. First it was emotional seeing our Roo go to the good home in the country....which it actually was.

The hens acted weird all day, especially in the morning. Didn't want to come off the roost and spent most of the day in the coup not wanting to go outside.

By this evening they were coming out but they all missed him. You could just tell. They were all raised together and he was the head bird in there.
