efowl

Efowl is a broker, not a hatchery. They'll send your order elsewhere depending on what you ordered. That's why they have all that variety. I've heard mixed reviews about customer service.

I think their customer service is awesome, they are the closest to my state and tons of my friends have ordered from them with no problem, they were quick to replace any DOA's but that only happened to one of my friends batches, a friend of mine got silkies from them year before last and they all matured BEAUTIFULLY, even took a pullet to local show and got best of breed...It really depends on personal experience and expectations.

I ordered from them in 2010. I ordered 30 chicks to be delivered in April but due to hatching difficulties with their Delawares the order couldn't be filled so I had to wait until May to get my chicks. Then the first box of chicks all arrived dead. Custumer services was great they replaced the order right away but I had to wait again for them to be replaced. I had ordered 30 chicks and got 33 in the replacement order. 10 SLW, 6 Delawares, 6 RIR, 5 BO, 6 NHR
The Delawares I recieved were the best broilers I have raised to date. I ordered 25 more Delawares from them this year so that should tell you what I think of their Delawares.
The BO were not very consitent on growth rate or body type but they are calm, quiet, forage well, lay very well, and have made excellent mothers.
The RIR laid really well but were loud, flighty, feather peckers. After I culled them from the flock all feather pecking has stopped.
The NHR are awesome, robust, wide, great plumage, they lay almost as much as the RIR and have made great moms and broilers. I just love my NHRs.
The SLW boys were noisy, flighty, mean, aggressive, and fought with each other even thou they were on free range. The SLW girls are decent layers a bit shy and will brood. I lost my only broody SLW hen to a racoon in 2011 while she was on 16 eggs.
This year I have ordered "Indian Rivers" (Delaware X NHR) from them because when I crossed my Delaware rooster with my NHR back in 2011 I got a superb dual purpose bird. They didn't offer "Indian Rivers" back in 2010 so now that they do I'm gettin some.

All Chickens Pictured are either from E-fowl or are of my breeding using only E-fowl parent stock.

I just recently ordered (for the first time) chicks from eFowl. I was sent email notification a week or two priot to delivery to allow me to make sure I was ready to receive them. I received another email alert when they shipped. The birds hatched and shipped on April 17. They were in our hands on April 19. 18 chicks were ordered - 5 each of Cuckoo Marans and Ameracauna, 8 RIR's. 21 birds arrived - an extra of each of the three ordered. All 21 were packed in a small but sturdy cardboard box. All chicks were alive and seemingly in excellent condition. 3 days later now and all are alert and active and looking fine.

One side note - I write to eFowl after the chicks arrived to confirm the actual hatch date (I only knew for sure the ship date). They responded within 24 hours with a pleasant email confirming that hatch date and ship date were the same.

So far, my experience with eFowl is excellent and I'd recommend them to anyone.

just recieved an order of call ducks from efowl. Only one was dead on arrival but they had a couple extras to make up for it.

Had a couple calls due within the first 24hrs and E fowl quickly refunded me for what was lost no questions asked! Great service

I just ordered from them. I got austria whites, black australorps and easter eggers. They came 2 days after their ship date all healthy and chirping. They were accurate on sexing. I will definately order from them again!
