Egg and Poop Hole; The Same?

I've actually witnessed many an egg being layed in my youth and didn't recall a single "membrane" coming out of the vent. Watched the whole process.

Call it whatever you want but if you watch the red lining from inside will come to the outside around the egg. This part never comes in contact with the other section that passes the waste. The waste comes down a different section from the egg.

I feel comfortable in my female chicken anatomy, but what about the male.

Where is their "junk"?
