I have a 5 month old khaki-campbell who has started laying about 5 days ago. The first three days I got an egg from her. Yesterday she didn't lay and I thought maybe she do don't lay or a squirrel took it. I also did not get one from her today. I read that it is common for new layers to become egg bound? She isn't really showing any signs of discomfort, but I noticed that her vent looks bigger than normal (not covered by her feathers and visibly noticeable). I also know that ducks try not to show any signs of discomfort or hurting... And advice or help?

Pick her up n feel on her belly n down towards her vent if there is an egg there u will feel it, I had an egg bound duck just last I got her in the sink in a warm soak n she was in agony she was pushing against me n finally pushed out a 6 ounce egg god that was huge of and I oiled round her vent to to help with passin the egg
