Egg bound Hen Help!

I'm sorry to say, I'll be surprised if you don't lose her. If it is egg binding, it has to come out. Are you still doing a couple warm/hot baths every day with abdomen massages? I'd go with water about 100F.

I have never tried it but epson salt water acts as a laxative, people use it for when chickens eat bad stuff so I don't know if it will work. @Eggcessive any opinions?
but I have heard that it might have some side effects

I’ve been afraid to say something dumb because you’re in so much pain already. But my concern is that Daisy is getting input, but still no output. The food and water can’t process through if there’s an egg in the way. Do the laxatives help with eggbinding? You’ve tried it all, massaging, the warm soaks, the calcium tablets? I just hop something helps soon.

I don’t have any sage advice, just prayers.

Sounds like she may have lash material she's having a hard time to pass or possibly a reproductive disorder and the "egg/mass" is in the abdomen instead of the oviduct.

Sorry that you are dealing with this. I think you are doing what you can, but it sounds like she's in a state of decline.

I have had a Rhode Island red lay an overly large lash egg. She might have an lash egg that is to large to get out.
