That is Sally through and through theoldchick. Ok so she is imagining that we did not pick up all her eggs. Last year she was very sneaky and build a nest where we could no find her and only discovered her when it was already too late to take the eggs away. (We had her for less than a month then).
I went home and took her out of the chicken shed and blocked the door so she could not go back, she was NOT impressed with me at all. She did make 3 huge poops though, she was clearly holding for a loooong time!
Now if I can just get my ringneck parrot to stop being broody as well then life will be perfect.
The only way you can get her out of being broody is to get a ziplock bag and put some ice in it and get all the air out from it and then close it then put it under her to break her broody spell or you can get some hatching eggs and put them underneath her.
Plus there is no breaking a broody parrot - if you try you will pay the price with a bloody finger or 10.
I closed up the chicken shed and I packed things in her nest so she could not go there last night. Today she scratched out some of my plants and made a new nest in the garden.
