Egg Bound or stress?

I've had two hens for two years. Three months ago one died with no explaination. The other has been fine. She went through a molt in June/July and has been laying with some regularity since August. I got two pullets to keep her company since she lost her friend. The first two nights I kept her in s small portable coop and put the new ones in the permanent coop. Both days she was in the portable I got an egg (Saturday and Sunday). Day three I let her go into the regular coop with the pullets during the day, but had her stay in the portable coop overnight. That afternoon/early evening (Sunday) she dropped an egg without any membrane or shell. Less than 24 hours later she dropped another egg, this time with the membrane, but still no shell. It has now been 10 days and nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? COuld it be stress of having the new birds???

Yes, it can be stress. Chickens hate change and you've disrupted their routine. Give her time and she'll get over it.
