Egg bound? Tried to examine vent, not sure if I did it right

The first time I dewormed, I used safeguard. The second time I used Ivermectin. I gave her 0.5 of Agri-cillion for three days, then I switched to Trimeth sulfa 0.5.

I did bring in another chicken and compared the two. She is a little bit bigger than normal. I also discovered that she will eat a fried egg better than any other food that I have offered her. She must be getting better if she is willing to eat, drink, and is pooping. I am keeping an eye on her. If I feel that she is in misery, I will do the right thing.

Ivermectin will likely treat roundworms, but if the vet say something else, then using Safeguard would be better.

Glad to hear she is eating! If she wants fried egg, let her have it

Wanted to let you know that she is still enjoying her soaks and blow dry. Yesterday, she ate quite a bit, but, today she isn't. Unless she was eating feed when I was gone, but, the egg, banana and bread wasn't touched. Her poop looks normal. She seems to enjoy just sitting in the tub by herself. She doesn't try to get out. Her posture is good (isn't hunched over). I'm keeping an eye on her. Today I put some oyster shell in her dish and she pecked at it. She loves to talk to me and investigate what I'm doing. Such a sweet girl. Do chickens go through a period of not laying an egg even if they are not molting? Thing is, I have so many chickens that I don't know if she has ever layed an egg. I have never seen her on a nest.
I hope you are ready for Christmas. I have one more present for my youngest granddaughter to wrap, then I'll be done.

Bless her heart! I sounds like she's hanging in there.
In winter some birds do take a break or slow down in production since light levels are lower. A lot depends on age, breed, time of year, etc.

I have a few things left to do before Christmas gets here! Hopefully finishing up tomorrow

The poor dear, those yellow "chunks" look like pieces of lash material.
With that fluid and "material" in the abdomen, there nothing that could have been done except to make her comfortable like you did.

It's good that you examined her further, it must have been hard, but at least you have an idea of what was going on.

It would be good if others who are familiar with doing necropsies could have a look at your pictures and video. Ascites is pretty obvious, as are the yellow caseous masses, but I would wonder about cancer as well. @Wyorp Rock, @casportpony, @dawg53, @TwoCrows, @coach723 , or @rebrascora, do any of you see anything obvious? I have only done a handful of necropsies myself.
