You are right, it's maggots. You will need to get rid of those asap.

Wash her vent in warm soapy water, this will help remove a lot of them. Then pick off as many as you can with tweezers.

Flystrike can be very serious and yes, it can kill the bird in a short period of time.

Once you start cleaning her up, check to see if you can find a wound on the outside of her body or where the maggots are coming from.

Thanks, hopefully my sister can help. I will try this...ughhh. I should have known. Thank you so much! So its not the cause of her disease, just another thing to worry about right? Maggots cannot make a chicken paralyzed correct?

No I don't think the maggots have caused her paralysis.
It could be they are just on the outside where she's soiled or possibly she has some infection inside as well - the maggots may be inside the vent, they can do a lot of damage in a short period of time, so try to get them off.

So we just bathed her twice. Most of the maggots on her vent outside are gone, but it seems some have crept inside…

She is still wet, and we are trying to blow dry her. It’s night time where we live, and her housing is dirty…would it be a good idea to let her sleep for the night (somehow find a place fire her to sleep) and continue tomorrow?

So it looks like she does not have that many maggots on her anymore (my sister removed most of them). And should we get some sort of medicine to coat her vent in? It has quite a lot of wounds. But seems that there are only wounds on her vent, not anywhere else. We also cut some hair around her vent. Almost no more maggots anywhere, some are hiding in the wounds, but not much in the vent. We have no twizlers (we do, but cannot find it)…so my sister is using her glove and a piece of wood (not the best…). So far it looks much better! I am glad my sister helped! The first picture is the most recent, and the wounds are circled in black. We may have to bathe her again tomorrow. Good thing we have a brooder that is fly proof. Hoping all works out!

Well, it was not there the day that we thought she got egg bound. I am guessing, based on google, that the maggots ate bits of her dead skin and created wounds? Or maybe…I don’t really know actually…
