She's my friend's duck. She showed up at their house a week ago and was really friendly and quiet. She's not really their pet. She can leave whenever she wants but chooses to stay. Btw my friend lives in town. They are going to bring up some of their runners from their farm property to keep her happy. She seems bright and not at all lethargic. Eating well. Hasn't layed yet but it's the end of winter so idk if she is supposed to.Have you felt her belly? When did she lay last?

I gave her a warm bath, put oil in her vent, massaged her and gave her a calcium supplement. The area didn't feel hard or squishy, it just felt like part of her belly
Ok thanks hopefully it's not too serious. I think someone definitely raised her and then tried to release her to the wildIs it possible someone dumped her off at your friend's home? It maybe she is just a little on the chubby side? May not have been fed a good diet where she was before?
I hope they have a safe place for her to stay overnight so predators don't take off with her.
