Yes your doing that correct, this could be a soft egg that was broke as it exited.
How is she after the bath? she may be broody but you do not have a cockerel correct

no change after warm bath, actually she is probably more cripple...

Thanks for reply. I think she laid an white shell (from eating shell grit maybe?) egg the day after. And I don't see her sitting around any more. it looks like she is back to normal for the moment except that today non of my 3 hens laid any eggs, I usually got 3 eggs a day. Maybe they are going though some hormone changes because I fed them differently recently ....
