Egg broke inside first-time layer! *Update- egg bound!

We took her out for a little bit today and she enjoyed being outside. She was very mad at us for bringing her back in. I think one more night inside and she should be ok to rejoin the others tomorrow.

Put her back with the others today. There was some pecking at first but I watched to make sure they weren't being too rough and things calmed down and every time I've checked since she has been fine and seems very happy to be out. so glad she's healing so well! Still on antibiotics for 3 more days but I'm optimistic, as long as it doesn't happen again.

I wanted to post a final update on Jane.

Today she laid again. I was so nervous and kept checking on her to make sure she didn't get egg bound again or prolapse. Luckily everything went fine! Beautiful blue egg and her vent looked just fine after!
