Egg candleing help

Hi there! It’s my first time incubating eggs and we still have a lot to learn. We have nine eggs in the incubator. All nine are fertile. We are on day 7. For 5 of them, we can see the little body perfectly clearly and all the veins surrounding it. But for the rest (4) the veins are looking great but The heart is not visible and instead looks like a pocket of air. Anyone know what’s going on?

@happychickies101 Looks like a blood ring to me. That embryo isn't showing any signs of being viable.
"Blood on the screen" as I say.

You will not see a heart. There will be an embryo but it will usually be closer to the top. What you see at the bottom is albumin. The chick is developing nicely towards the air cell.

The embryo is likely visible on the other side of the egg

Blood rings don't have veins any more

It is possible that the embryo died without a blood ring

At day 7, I would leave the egg in the incubator. The film on the inside of the eggshell could go either way. If the embryo has died then a distinct blood ring will form.
The reddish color to the liquid in the egg means the embryo is developing as opposed to the lack of color in a clear egg.

Leave it in! Don't pull eggs until day 10 at the earliest and if you do pull an egg, open it up. I have found living embryos soon to be dead that I thought were quitters.

x100, yes, yes, yes.... please wait till day 10. Lost quite a few to being presumptive and have been kicking myself for each one of them ever since.
