Egg Carton Vent

No, I'm not mad at egg cartons,

I was however wondering if there is any purpose for having a vent in the egg cartons:

With Vent

Without Vent

Which of these do you think would be the better quality egg carton?

That's pretty vague! But the air sac gets bigger as eggs get older, so it might be to allow for that air exchange. I'd go by price and shipping cost.

I bought 200 plain foam cartons for 17.00 awhile back, no vents. I thought that was a good price.

I have to get ready for work. I work the graveyard shift. I don't remember but you could also buy mis-printed ones for even cheaper. I'll see if there is an address on the box they shipped in.
