Egg cells slant good but no signs of movement

Ok. Thank you! Will you be around in the morning? If there is no progress in the morning should I pull down that outer membrane and wet the inner membrane and look for veins? He looks dark. He's a black shoulder/Indian blue. I have a good led flashlight. The Brinsea mini is working great!! Thank you so much for your help!!!

Unfortunately I have an outpatient surgery first thing in the morning. If it was me I would do exactly what you said, and look for veins. If they look red they are not ready, if they look like spindly brown hairs they are all dried up and he should be ready. Just peel a little at a time, checking for veins as you go, if you see red or bleeding stop, wrap loosely in moist paper towel and wait 2 hrs. then start again. I should be back by early afternoon and will look for updates. Always glad to help!

I hope everything goes well with your procedure tomorrow!! :hugs Ok, I will see whats going on tomorrow. I'm hoping if the other egg hatches, it will encourage him to try. But I don't even see his beak so I'm doubtful. I'll go super slow! Should I go in through the membrane or just go in on the spot missing shell?

Start by removing shell over air cell, then remove outer white membrane from same area. Once inner membrane is exposed moisten it so it becomes clear and you can see veins. If they are brown and hair like they are dried up and you can open the inner membrane as well. From there work your way toward his pip, if you see bleeding at any point stop and take a break for an hour or 2 then resume. KKB's pics should help, although I generally do not see that much red. I think his camera may be making it look like there is more blood than there really is, last time I assisted there was no blood on me or the shell.

RubyNala97 how are eggs/chicks doing?
Thank you all!!! It has been over 24 hrs since his internal/external pip. He is still alive. I do not see his beak through the pip hole. It looks like I'm seeing his wing, maybe. I see his feathers and I can see them move when he breaths. I don't think he can make any progress on his own. I'm watching his brother make progress with his little beak sticking out of his pip and there's no way this guy is doing anything like that. I'm just putting my baby down for a nap so I can have some uninterrupted time to sit down and do this. I'm so nervous. So thank you for the pictures because they really help. I'm sure I will be posting questions! Thank you all again.

You'll be fine.. Just go slow... His wing may be over his beak ... I'll keep checking back to check for ur posts til DylansMom can advise ya but hopefully you can get his head and wing free so he can continue on his own...
