No he wasn't sticky or wet but normal with a thread like string that held him to a shell piece that he scooted off on his own during the night...all normal..

Regarding your eggs... Looks good but can u tell me what your temp and humidity r at?

I didn't add my 2 cents on those marked eggs because I am kind of "backward".. in that I have never even marked an air cell myself.

I have always been more of an "eyeball" it kind of girl. This year I did weigh a bunch when I set them and the majority of mine lost approx. 11% of their weight and did well with this. However, I do think that a variety of factors will affect this and some eggs need to lose more than other eggs to hatch successfully. I do think those in the photo def. appear to be in the normal range though.

And I don't weigh mine but go by air sack...
Thanks for your input!

And we both seem to be fairly successful, so that just proves that there are many different ways that work. Afterall, the hens don't weigh them or mark air cells!

Never had Peachicks this young so any idea when I'll be able to tell what sex they are??
With the guineas I go by their 'calls' and the ducks by their feathering, the chickens by different things but don't know what to watch for with the peas..?..

My temp has been steady 99.5-99.8. My humidity days 1-20 was 50-55%, dry. I found some stuff to bring the humidity down, so for the last 3 days I've been running 25%-30%, to make up for the higher humidity. One of my eggs looks like it's starting to drawn down. They all seem to still have movement. This is one that looks like it's starting.

I agree that egg is looking good...
Maybe even next 2-4 days??
When is their hatch date??

That's what I was thinking! When my chicken eggs start doing that it's only a couple days away. Hatch day is not till Thursday the 9th. I will keep an eye out for internal pips and get ready to lockdown, if I have to. Thanks!
