New to the forum. New to raising chickens. Kinda. 8 months now. But, my question is, can very bright light cause a color change in the shell? I was getting blue from EE. I have not witnessed her laying but I have seen her in the nesting box then checked 20 minutes later and there is an extra large white egg (I also have 4 white leghorns) in the nest. I have not seen a blue egg in close to a month. These eggs I believe are hers are larger than the ones I know come from the leghorns. My kids have a tendency to leave the light on in the coop when they are in there so they are sometime in very bright light for a long period. Today I have removed that light to see if any change. Thoughts?
