Newby here.
I am using an Opal Legbar rooster over Black copper Marans to create olive eggers but one of my pullets just started laying and it's brown. So my Legbar must carry a white and blue gene... Will all offspring lay brown or will it be 50/50 brown or green? Thank you for any info!

If your Legbar has one blue egg gene and one not-blue-egg gene, then half of his offspring will inherit a blue egg gene and half will inherit a not-blue-egg gene from him. In other words, about half of his daughters when crossed to a Marans hen should lay brown and the other half should lay green.
