Egg color?

What color is this egg? The only chickens that I have laying right now are red stars. I do have 4 that have not started laying yet but should start within the new month or so.

Red stars are supposed to be brown layers, so maybe someone had an "oopsie" that came out lighter.

It's a light brown egg. My BO, BR and LB lay the same color eggs.

What breed are your othere chickens? My Light Brahmas lay light tan colored eggs. How old are the other 4 hens. My started laying at 15 weeks.

The 4 of chickens are Ameraucana, RIR, Black Australorp ans SL Wyandotte. They are about 16-18 weeks old. I have new had an egg that look like that before.

I dont think that is your EE's egg. I think that is your SLW's egg. My SLW lays that light of an egg. The egg on the far right is from my SLW. Its the same color as your egg.

ok, have to get in on this one....My hen was in a nest box yesterday...I couldnt remember if she had laid her greenish blue egg (EE)...then I noticed she was all fluffed up, and was rocking slow...hmmm brooding?...so I went up to see, and sure enough she was sitting on an egg....then I noticed it wasnt hers....she was sitting on what I thought was a maran egg, darkish brown, but not choc. dark...when she moved I took the egg.

I was looking at the egg and its hard to tell from pictures...but the egg is a darkish bluish, almost purplish egg! its hard to describe...well I brought it in and look at it...yup....has blue, purple color, brown....so then later I went back out, again...and she had laid her normal greenish egg....so whats up with that?

cant tell from picture...but far left, Maran egg, then the egg she was sitting on and then her normal eggs I meam you can clearly see the puple..ish...speckles
