Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
I have a few old english game hens and I've been wondering what colour eggs they lay? Ive also got white leghorns which I know lay white eggs but I havent had any other colour eggs yet from my others so maybe the old english could be laying white eggs aswell???
