egg crack

since almost everyday, one of the eggs usually have acrack whichn you can literally see the inside, is it safe to eat it? I have tried bedding but gthey kick it out they seem to want to lay on bare wood

I`m sceptical of eating cracked eggs, so I pitch all I find. A suggestion for your nest- get some indoor/outdoor carpet and cut to fit. Anything that will cushion the egg is good...........Pop

Rather than waste them, I would cook them up and feed them back to the chooks - great source of protein for them.

I don't toss them either ~ I feed them to the dogs. Them eat them raw, shell & all.

Cook 'em up and feed 'em back to the chickens. Don't raw feed to the chooks, though, you'll end up with egg eaters.

If you do feed to your dogs, be aware that you might get a nasty surprise. Mine ended up sick to her stomach after her first raw egg. We had to bathe her and shampoo the carpet. So if you have a pampered house pooch, you'd best cook it first.
