Egg day 20 of 21

This egg is day twenty of twenty one, I can definitely see the air sac, but when I look further I can barely see through the egg. Is this what yi should look like? Sorry very new to this

Hi,
congratulations , the egg look very healthy and the air sac is brillient , The chick is fully grown that is why you can not see through the eggs now as the chick has occupied the space , He should be hatching soon .

let me know when it hatches but please do not open the incubator in last 3 days as it will losse humidity

Thanks! It's day 21 of 21 and hasn't hatched yet and no signs of hatching. Is that normal? Is there a noise or something I can do to get it to start pipping?

You arent supposed to interfere with the pipping of the chick because the chick is supposed to be strong enough to do the pipping itself. If the chick does hatch please keep the cage really clean and give the chick fresh water, food, and a good heat source. I tried using sand for my chicks bedding recently and it was always getting dirty and getting into the water bowl. i read that pine shaving is a good bedding. Unfortunatly one of my chicks is sick and i think it has a disease called cocciosis

. Please be careful to prevent your chicks from getting this. (sorry or the long post that went off topic... im trying to help you to not make to same mistake as me

full sized blue splash day 22 he really needed the extra time, doing fine.
