Egg development without male?

Right, thats why im so conflicted. Maybe its not rotten and its an asexual egg and I just killed a rare occurrence 😭😭😭
No, it's a rotten egg. Watch while you candle it and turn it, you will see the liquid swish around. A fertile egg would be closer to 25 days to be that dark.
As @R2elk has stated there would not be that much darkness in an egg at 2 weeks of development. And if it were farther in development its air cell would be much smaller. I say rotten also.

Oh I also believe you can float test?
Float testing can tell you something about how big the aircell is in an egg, because a very large aircell will cause the egg to float.

This gives a rough estimate of age:
float = big aircell = older egg
sink = small aircell = fresher egg

But it cannot tell whether an egg is rotten, or fertile, or developing.
It ONLY tells how much air is inside the shell.

Sniffing the egg is one way to check for rotting-- if it stinks it is definitely bad, if it does not stink it might be fine.
