I've got a mix of coturnix...a few browns & goldens (mostly males) but mostly A&M's (all females). The A&M's are new to the team but they don't seem to be laying eggs. They were laying for a few days after we got them but now they aren't.

I've only had them for about 10 days...is it possible that they might just need more time to adjust?

They were living indoors and are now outside and it's still pretty chilly here.

When I first got my chickens, I had 4 Barred Rock hens and a rooster. It took them a week or so to start laying. I was getting worried too. Do you know how old they are?

They range in age from 6 months to a year.

The 6 month olds may just be late to the game. The year olds should be laying. Did you buy them from someone? If they were laying for them, I would assume they would start laying again soon. If they weren't, then idunno.

YOu guys are talking about chickens. The OP is talking about coturnix quail.

WHen you transfer or move coturnix they will usually lay all of the eggs they have in process and then quit laying for a couple weeks because of the stress of the move. Just give it another week or so and they'll be laying.

OH! Sorry. I apologize, my bad. I thought it was a weird named chicken.

Totally makes sense. When we first got the birds it was only a 20 min. car ride and when we got home we already had 3 eggs in the transport tub. The next day 5 eggs then nothing.

I thought it was the stress of the move, thanks for the peace of mind.
