We have at least two chickens that are eating eggs, if we could catch them we would butcher them. But so far we have not caught them in the act of eating the egg. What should we do. Some one stated feeding them milk for a few days I would try anything.

Guess you will just have to keep an eye out - maybe on a weekend when someone is home?

I read to get an egg put a whole on the top and a whole on the bottom, blow the yolk out fill it with mustard and put it in your nest box.
Hope this helps!

I can only imagine that the taste is so rank, they think better of it in the future (especially if its English mustard - brings tears to your eyes!)

Mustard or dish soap did not work for me. They actually like the taste of mustard. I found that also encourages them to eat eggs. Golf balls may work. Roll away nesting box has been the most successful. But egg eating can still happen if they lay in the coop (in my case).
