egg eating

I'm sure there is always special cause situations, but my egg-eating went away with taking better care of nest boxes. I think any egg that is cracked in the nest from laying or traffic in and out of the nest are all good canidates for being eaten. With proper care in the coop, diet included, I don't see this being an issue very often.

I have always thrown table scraps and egg shells in the coop ..... Never had them eat their eggs out of the nest...even have to take the occasional broken egg out and break it on the ground for them...Mine free range........
