Egg expiration date

I believe it's 4-6 months. Refridgerating them makes them last the longest. When in doubt, use the "float test". If the egg sinks, it's good. If it floats, the egg is NOT good any more.

I keep my eggs on the counter in the kitchen, coolest part of the kitchen ...never refrig...I keep them for as long as 2-3mos IF THEY LAST!!!....lol and so far so good....

does putting them in water to float test...cause the bloom to wash off and thus opening it to bacteria?

I'm on the counter too, I did research and they say the optimal temp is 50-60% and tests have shown then to last up to 8 weeks or more (almost no-one in Europe or other parts of the world refrigerate them)
