Egg farmers worst nightmare!....

Which is exactly why I never have Roo's ..... it would totally freak me out if I broke an egg into the frying pan and cooked a baby chick........

Granny always taught me to crack them one by one into a bowl....

She's a wise woman.

i'm a crack in the bowl type also -- but i have to say, i'd probably have a girl moment and start shrieking.......

Oh my! I would freak out if we cracked an egg and there was a chick in it!

One time, my future step-father bit into a boiled egg (unaware of the surprise inside). Guess what was in it? A half formed baby chick!

one time i went to make some eggs and it broke funny. so i broke it all the way apart, and it was partially cooked lol. Hubby must have turned the oven on with the egg basket on the stove, which cooked the eggs on the bottom more than the ones on top. so when i talked to my brother about it, he said, that a full dozen i had given him were like that lol. so.. i just put the eggs straight into cartons now.. and keep them away from him.

i did have a weird egg one time. it wasn't cooked, or incubated.. i broke it straight into the pan... yeah yeah i know. anyway, the white looked the color of blood, gross. and since the pan was hot, it cooked.. and looked just like cooked blood eew. just a weird egg. nothing was formed or anything.. and i've never had anything else like that, and neither has my brother or mom. or whoe ever else gets eggs lol.

I always mark anything anyone is laying on with a big x in pencil or marker. It helps if you know they are sittitng but I guess not so much for those surprise ones that have been laying around. I have a problem where the pigeons keep sitting on chicken eggs...ugh! They start on pigeon eggs then the chickens must come in and crush them and then leave theier own eggs. I hate to bother the pigeons but I guess I have no choice.
