I know forsure nmy roo mates successfully my oegb hen but she went through a dry spell of not laying and just started to lay regularly consistently around aapproximately Jan 20t. I gathered eggs to incubate and the ones from first week showed nothings there. Is it normal to have eggs not develop even tho fertilized when they just had a few months without laying? After the first week eggs in incubator are developing fine with vibrant signs of life

I've had a hen hatch out her first ever eggs (she hid them from me and went broody when she had a clutch). It's possible that your hen rejected either the rooster's advances, or expelled his sperm during the first mating(s). I've actually seen a hen do this once :sick

Good luck with your incubation!

Its on side and i manually turn them it was older ones without air sac never developed but i could see one only in there four days growing lol temp everything is consistent so it has to be the hen rejecting the roo perhaps etc

Maybe. Also, keep in mind that roos are less likely to mate in the winter. You can do random checks/sampling of your eggs to determine fertility.
