Egg Hatching Anonymous

I do NOT have a problem!

Over $300 on hatching eggs since April and now I'm broke and only got 3-4 hatches out of all the dozens.

There's about 70 in the bator now. Some from last shipment, some from my hens.

Just got 8 Bev Davis FBCMs and praying for enough eggs to get a flock going.

Only thing really stopping me from ordering more eggs is the heat and the PO that seems to want to play basketball or football with my orders.

Well the lady from Craigslist just dropped off my "foster kids"

. I got them marked and put in the bator. They'll be warm and toasty in no time. Does it count if you hatch for someone else? I laid awake last night thinking about this hatching stuff. I think I decided 'm gonna keep at it because rehab is for quitters

If you turn everything off and just peek out the side of the curtians at them until the go away you MIGHT have a problem!

LOL, its an obsession for sure. I have hatched more this year than in the previous two since I started.
Currently in the incubators: 78 banty eggs of various kinds, 31 guinea eggs and 60 coturnix quail eggs.

Now, that just struck me so funny I laughed out loud at my desk at work. *peeking around* I guess they're used to me laughing at stuff..... in my cubicle.

I have a GrandChick hatched by my broody just this past Saturday, and I'm actually considering trying some of my ... errr... the pullets' .... eggs in the new Brinsea Mini Advance I bought a month ago. Not used yet.

I'm kinda scared I'm gonna begin something I cannot stop. *biting fingernails*

I did 3 big hatches in my sportsman and got a total of 750 chicks to sell, i sold all of the first and second hatch and kept 100 of the last hatch, i also hatched out 100's of guineas,

I have to say this was a cure for my addiction and i am done till next spring mabe you just need a big hatcher to cure you

my good friend just called me a hoarder yesterday!!! She thinks I should give her a silkie pullet and I keep avoiding it.....She says I'm a chicken hoarder! I can't give any of my darlings away OR sell them! At least you people understand that after all the work of purchasing eggs, incubating , and hatching, it's easy to get emotionally attached to the babies and no one else is good enough to have them...
