If the bird specialist said she would make it until tomorrow (and longer if necessary, but we both know you wouldn't wait longer), then I'm sure she will. I'm glad you aren't trying to get the egg out yourself, there is a reason surgeons don't operate on their family after all. Hang in there, and don't be afraid to over load the specialist with questions when you take her tomorrow. Good thoughts are being sent to you.

yeah i thought ok that lady said she has seen them 3 days later. it just seems impossible to me to wait. this has been a very long 2 days. so many tears shed.

Don't worry she'll get better but she does need lots of rest.

I know how you feel, I was there with a finch. Not a prolaps, but a broken wing. It happened on a Saturday evening, after the vets had closed. The vets wouldn't be open again until Monday morning. I wrapped his wing to his body and stressed the rest of the weekend, not knowing if I'd done it right or not. Not sure if the stress of the injury would kill him or not, smaller birds can be horrifically delecate that way. He pulled through though, and I'm sure your Rosey will too.

me and the hubby discussed it and were afraid to do it afraid she could bleed to death so we decided against it.

one more question before i crash, just checked on her she is standing up, can she rest like that?

Yes she can but she'll tire eventually and lay back down.
