I've been following this thread. I think it's admirable how much you care for Rosie. It has to be very confusing with all of the advice and misunderstandings and conflicting opinions. People only see what you write on here, and they don't always realize the emotion behind the posts and the sleepless nights and tears and love that comes along with the frustration and fear. Let the vet advise you tomorrow on what should happen. If you can afford it, go ahead and have her spayed. She's obviously more to you than a producer of eggs. The picture you posted was beautiful and loving and humanizing. I don't think anyone could say you don't love that chicken after seeing that picture. And quite obviously, she loves you too. None of this is your fault. She was just born with a wonky egg tube.

I'll be praying for Rosie and your family tonight. Let us know what happens tomorrow.
