I've kept chickens for a couple of years, but had to buy new ones about a month ago after a fox took my 3 hens. The new three POL ones have settled in well, but a few days ago I noticed the vent of one was bloody. The others were pecking it. So I washed her, and kept her apart from the others until the feathers fluffed up. An egg has been laid every day. She is behaving normally. Then this morning I found an egg laid in an odd place, and in a pool of clear fluid.
Any idea what is causing this? What can I do?

Yes, egg is perfectly normal, if a little smaller than the others laid by her coop-mates. She was a bit listless the other morning, but seems happy enough now.
