All chicken eggs taste the same if they are raised the same. The difference is in the age of store bought eggs, and what they eat, and maybe in how they live. Find a dozen real, fresh farm eggs, and see for yourself.​

Of all the ones I've ever raised? For brown eggs, so far it would be barred rocks. For white? Leghorns.

They are still ubiquitous and widespread, though. If you count the sexlink hybrid breeds, like Black and Red stars, they remaiin pretty popular.
