Are there any geese breeds that are better layers, producing more eggs in the laying period? Also, which kind lays the largest eggs?

The Chinese geese lay the most eggs. Some strains lay more than others, of course. If you are most interested in egg laying ability, then the hatchery strains would be good. I had a pair that I bought from someone that was an egg laying strain. She laid twice a year until he was killed by predators, then she was too lonely and didn't lay any more eggs.
