Egg Laying Cam - wireless video streaming or still-shot motion sensor?

My old Svat cam died so thinking of getting an IP cam. Looking at the Foscam's wireless models. Problem is they don't tell you the range, line of sight in the specs. How far is your coop from router?

Right now it's about 35' shooting through one exterior wall. I have had up to about 60 feet shooting through 2 or 3 walls. I'm more than happy with it and would recomend it. The IP feature is down right now by no fault of the cammera, it's a COMCAST problem. They thought we needed a new router which screwed up the setting for the camera.

I went ahead and ordered the Foscam wireless pan/tilt Model FI8910w. I hope it will reach my coop approx 60-70 ft away. They do sell antenna boosters so may have resort to something like that. Lot's of comments on Amazon about how technically challenging the setup is. I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to routers, port forwarding, etc. but there's always the CS number from the product manual...most likely I'll be talking to "Scott" from India. LOL

Their customer service is great. I had no clue as to how to set mine up. When I called customer servie for set-up help, they asked me if they could take control of my computer and did it all for me. This is a service that they normally charge $40. for but did it for me twice... for free. The second time was because I screwed things up tinkering with it. Both times I talked to people right here in the good ol' US of A. It was such a pleasure being able to understand every word they said, if you know what I mean!

I opted for the free Amazon shipping so should be a slow ride to my house. Expecting it next Wed. I'll fall over if I get a great picture at 70 ft.
I bought a $190 wireless camera in 2009 and it just messed up. CS no help. Svat never again. Here's that cam: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GIUHC2/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I hope this new one will last. Price is nice, and the fact that I can view from my laptops is a plus. Not connecting to the Android.

There are a number of android viewers for IP cameras, including IP Camera Viewer and the Blue Iris app. I think Foscam might also have their own app.
BTW, I like Blue Iris for desktop use.

Thanks Gar, I don't have the Android, DH does and he doesn't care, so no addition tech support for that. There are 3792 reviews for this particular camera and so far read about half. Most sound promising if, like KDK said, call and let them take over your computer. That makes me slightly paranoid but heck, so is shopping at Target.

I've tried a few for iphone. The one by foscam is OK but surveillance pro is the best one I've found. It does cost $5 though, if I remember right but totally worth it.

I have two Dlinks DCS-932L and they only cost about $59 each. They don't move, but I have two. One looks at the egg box the other at the perch. They work great and are a BREEZE to set up.

I watch them from my laptop, or my android phone with the free software (app). They also have the app for the iphone as well.f

Here's a night picture of the girls sleeping on the perch.
