Egg Laying !!! Now that i went from Scratch Grains to the flock grow .

They can be on Flock Raiser just set out oyster shell 24/7 in case they need it. Layer feed would be lots better for egg production.

they'll probably lay on that, though not as well as with layer feed, but try to get some oyster shell for them for the calcium, it's pretty cheap.

If you eat any of your eggs, save the shells and mix the shells into their feed.

HMMhmhmhmhmhmhmmmmmmmm ..... Really ?? Well right now for the next day or two ill feed them the Raiser then get new food , because then ill have the money . Other then that where do i get my oyster whatever from ?

Sure! Chickens are really hardy and will try to lay eggs no matter what. The better you feed them though, the more eggs they'll produce, the longer they'll lay them and the eggs will even taste better. Poorly fed hens will be less strong, get sick easier, lay fewer eggs, and lay them for fewer months out of the year and for fewer years.

You can usually buy oyster shell at most feed stores where you can buy chicken feed.
