I have a flock of five lavender Ameraucana hens who are not quite two years old. For a year they all layed beautiful blue eggs.
About two almost three months ago they all stopped laying. So late fall, early winter.
Egg production went down a bit in my other (assorted breed) eleven hens as well. But they still layed a few eggs and now they are back up to par.
One Ameraucana layed a bright blue egg the other day but that’s it.
They are all on a 20% protein feed, and they have ample sources of oyster shell calcium, which they do consume.
I do give treats - scratch grains, alfalfa, and fresh collard and kale greens, various scrap vegetables chopped up.
Is this just normal? And will they lay eggs again. Am I doing something wrong?
As I said, the other hens are laying regularly.

Yes, they may need more daylight hours but it does seem they'd be laying since the others are. (Are the "others" younger? That might account for it - often pullets will lay through their first winter while 2 yo and older will not.) You'll probably see eggs soon. You might cut back on the treats and snacks if you're being very generous, those should not exceed about 10% of their diet. More than that interferes with the amount of good solid nutrition they get from their commercial feed - think "meat and potatoes," while the treats are more like "cake and ice cream."
