Egg Laying Oddity.........

One of my four (10 month old) hens hadn't been laying recently then this tiny egg showed up today........ What's up with that?

its called a wind egg. its usually a first or last egg . if she is just starting it will be bigger tomorrow

Thanks granny hatchet! I'm guessing this egg came from one of my older hens (nearly 4 years old) as her last egg, if that's how the "wind" egg thing works..........

We had a weird egg today.. We actually got quite a few of the little eggs first, but we have a pen of 5, so I'm not sure if it's different chickens that are laying them. Today's egg was an egg inside of an egg.
