I have a Blue Andalusian that usually lays her eggs in the nest, however there has been a couple times that her egg will be broken on the tray when I pull it out in the morning. This evening while I was tending to another chicken she laid a second egg ( first egg she laid in the best and was fine) that had a soft shell and wasn’t even in the shape of a shell. Then when I put the chicken I was tending to back, there was a third egg, still a soft shell but wasn’t as much to the shell. Yolk and everything was there on the last two eggs.
she is healthy and has oyster shells and I give her egg laying feed.
does anyone know what could cause her to lay 3 eggs like that in one day?
First picture was the first soft shell, second picture is the second soft shell.

We got her from a guy that was getting rid of his chickens cause he has to move so I’m not sure in age. I haven’t noticed any changes in behavior. No changes in her eating and drinking habits either.

I don't think she laid all 3 by herself, maybe the other ones laid them. Either she is really young and is a new layer or an old hen. How often does she lay?

I usually get 5-6 a week from her. I watched her do the first one. And then she had gone in the coop to roost and the second one was right under her on the ground.

That's odd, chickens only lay once a day at the most. She lays most days of the week, so she must be young. When chickens first start laying, the eggs are weird and sometimes don't have shells. Just glitches in the reproductive system. Just keep an eye on her. Hopefully just some glitches in her system and soon she should start laying more normally.

Most days she lays early afternoon. There was one night when we were adding onto the run, she got down out of the coop laid and egg on the ground and it broke. Then she flew back up to her spot on the bar.

we do t know much about the guy we got them from but we have already has a rooster die, and now another hen is acting funny, comb is starting to lose color on the tips. This afternoon her crop was full of water.
The guys coop was disgusting, I don’t know how well he feed them.
I keep the run and coop clean, they always have food and water plus grit and oyster shells. They occasionally get scratch.

Hopefully all your chickens make it through. You are taking good care of them.
