How old do hens have to be before they start laying?
i have 2 I raised they are about 4-5 months old, they are in a coop with 4 other haens that are laying. They have adapted well , not much aggression toward them.

About another month if not sooner. It depends on how much light they get in their eye before the weather cools down.

It depends on what breed they are too. Some breeds lay earlier than others.
