High protein feed helps keep them warm in the winter. cracked corn or sunflower seed is the best. don't feed corn in hot weather it's hard enough for birds to cool themselves in the summer. but it will help them keep laying in cold weather.

This is very helpful, have to wait to 31Dec but looking into getting cracked corn or sunflower seeds no shells. Thanks again
