This one isn't for kids but it makes a happy holiday! This one is very fluffy and like drinking a cloud. 12 eggs, separated* 1 1/2 cups superfine sugar (domino makes a superfine sugar in a small box) 1 quart whole milk 1 1/2 quarts heavy cream 3 cups bourbon 1/2 cup dark rum 2 cups cognac nutmeg , for sprinkling In a very large bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and pale yellow. Gradually add sugar to yolks. Using a wisk beat in milk and 1 quart cream. Add bourbon, rum, and cognac, stirring constantly so you don't get those separation lumps. Just before serving, beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into the above mixture. Whip 1/2 quart of heavy cream until stiff and fold into the mix. Sprinkle the top with nutmeg. *I trust my chickens are clean and disease free and I am not worried about raw eggs. I'll add another nog recipe that children can have.
