Sounds like a prolapse. It happens sometimes, things like eggs being too large or sometimes hens being too fat can cause it, a calcium imbalance, just to name a few. It's usually best to cull them.

Ok, thanks. We are going to give her a few more days. She doesn't seem to be in any immediate pain, distress or discomfort.
